These terms apply every time you use umrahwayfinder.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

The site is free. You do not create an account, you pay us nothing, and we take no payment details. Nothing on the site is an offer capable of acceptance, and using it does not create a contract to supply travel, accommodation, transport or any other service.

You must be 18 or older, or have the permission of a responsible adult, to submit anything through the forms.

What this site is

Umrah Wayfinder publishes independent, general planning information about travelling to Makkah and Madinah, together with two free tools: a whole-trip budget calculator and a trip-brief builder. The purpose is to help you ask better questions and compare offers on a like-for-like basis before you commit money.

What this site is not

We take no bookings and handle no payments. We do not hold money on your behalf, we are not party to any contract you make with a provider, and we have no authority to act for you in a dispute with one.

You must verify before you commit

Fares, timetables, entry and visa rules, vaccination requirements, hotel facilities, shuttle arrangements, walking routes, access arrangements and provider terms all change, sometimes at short notice and sometimes without public notice. Information on this site is general, is written at a point in time, and may be out of date by the time you read it.

Before you pay anything or make a non-refundable commitment, confirm the details that matter with the responsible official authority or directly with the provider who will supply the service, in writing. Where we point to a source, use that source rather than relying on our summary of it.

The calculator and the trip brief

The budget calculator performs arithmetic on figures that you type in. It fetches no live prices, applies no exchange rates and knows nothing about any real offer. Its output is a working estimate of your own numbers, not a quotation, a price, a forecast or a guarantee. Your figures stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

The trip brief is a document you build to describe what you want. It is a statement of your preferences, not a reservation, an option, a hold or a contract. Building one secures nothing.

Any worked example or illustrative figure in a guide is there to show a method. It is not a market rate, a recommendation or a prediction of what you will pay.

Enquiries and quotations

If you choose to send us a trip brief and ask us to review it, you are asking us to look at it and respond. We do not promise to respond, to find you a provider, to obtain a quotation, or to obtain any particular price. If we ever pass your enquiry to a third party, we will tell you before we do it.

Any quotation you eventually receive comes from the provider issuing it, on that provider’s terms. Read those terms. We are not responsible for them, for the accuracy of what a provider tells you, or for the provider’s performance.

Editorial independence

We do not accept payment in exchange for a favourable mention, ranking or review, and we do not publish invented “best hotel” lists. Guides naming a specific property are verification checklists, not endorsements.

We currently earn nothing from this site. If that changes — through affiliate links, sponsorship, paid placement or commission on a referred enquiry — we will disclose it clearly on the pages where it applies and update this section before it takes effect.

Third-party links and providers

We link to official authorities, operators and providers so that you can verify details at source. We do not control those sites, we do not monitor them, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or terms. A link is not an endorsement of the operator or of anything they say or sell.

Any dealing you have with a third party, including any contract you enter into with them, is between you and them.

Intellectual property

The text, structure, design and code of this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may read it, print it for your own planning, and quote short extracts with attribution and a link. You may not republish it systematically, present it as your own, use it to train a machine-learning model, or scrape it at scale.

Photographs belong to the photographers who took them. The permission above does not extend to them, so do not reuse them from this site.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe or bypass its access controls, overload it with automated requests, or reach any part of it you have not been given access to. Do not submit anything unlawful, abusive, defamatory, deliberately false, or containing another person’s details without their knowledge. Do not use the forms to send sensitive personal information.

We may block access, refuse or delete a submission, and report unlawful activity to the appropriate authority.

Availability

We make no promise that the site will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, restrict or withdraw any part of it, including a guide or a tool, at any time and without notice. We are not obliged to keep any particular page online or to preserve anything you have built with the tools — download your trip brief if you want to keep it.

No warranties

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations that are not expressly set out here, whether implied by statute, common law or otherwise — including any implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from any decision you make in reliance on it. That includes, without limitation, money lost on a booking, a missed flight, train or transfer, a refused visa or entry, accommodation that did not meet your expectations, a provider’s failure or insolvency, outdated third-party information, and any indirect or consequential loss.

We exclude liability for loss arising from a decision you made without carrying out the verification this site repeatedly tells you to carry out.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the site, are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction.

If you use this site as a consumer resident in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provision of the law of the country where you live, and you may also be able to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law of that country gives you that right.

General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we do not lose the right to enforce it later. These terms, together with the disclaimer and the privacy notice, are the whole agreement between us about your use of the site. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The version on this page is always the one that applies. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms, so check back if you are relying on a particular clause.
